Requirements
· Score 3.0+ in a five round event (2.0 for Kindergarten players in multi-grade event)
· Be a student in grades K-6 in public school, private school, home school, or virtual school
· Reside in Washington state
· $30 entry fee
· Rules governing participation at the tournament are maintained by the WSECC Policy Board.

Format and Rules
· Five rounds—Swiss system
· Game/30
· Grade-level divisions—one section per grade
· Accelerated pairings in rounds 1 and 2
· USCF rules in accordance with WSECC Policies
Awards
· Players with 5.0 scores will be co-champions
· Standard tiebreaks: Solkoff, Cumulative, Cumulative opposition
· Scholarships: free entry to Washington Open for players scoring 4.0 or higher
· Trophies to top 25 in each grade
· All 3.0 or higher will receive award
· Sportsmanship awards
· Team trophies determined by the top five players’ scores from each team
